Extension of existing water infrastructure to service the new facility. Integrating the building, playground and external works across a sloping site while maintaining accessibility and functionality. Coordinating the transport and three-day installation of 20 modular units to minimise disruption and keep the project on schedule. Grove delivered the new 99-place Lincolnville Kindergarten for the Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) and Moonee Valley City Council, providing a modern, purpose-built early learning facility for the local community. The 20-module kindergarten was manufactured off-site over eight weeks before being transported to site and installed in just three days. This streamlined delivery approach significantly reduced on-site construction time. From site possession to handover, the project was completed over approximately eight months. The purpose-built facility comprises three spacious learning rooms, each with dedicated children’s amenities and integrated reading nooks, alongside two Maternal and Child Health consulting rooms, a general purpose room, office, staff kitchen, accessible amenities, laundry and supporting storage spaces. The scope extended well beyond the building itself, with Grove completing the demolition of the existing kindergarten, extension of local water infrastructure, construction of approximately 1,220m² of landscaped outdoor play spaces, and the installation of ramps, stairs, pathways and fencing. The outdoor environment features timber seating, a yarning circle, sandpit, dry creek, mud play area, raised planter boxes, swings, softfall play areas and three large shade sails, creating engaging spaces that encourage outdoor learning and play. Delivered across a challenging sloping site, the project required careful planning and coordination to seamlessly integrate the new facility with its surrounding landscape while ensuring safe and accessible connections throughout. This project marks the third kindergarten Grove has delivered in partnership with Moonee Valley City Council, demonstrating our proven capability in delivering high-quality modular early learning facilities that meet the unique requirements of live community environments.
