Key Challenges
  • Urgent need for rapid housing deployment
  • High demand for affordable yet durable housing stock
  • Requirement for a scalable model across multiple delivery formats
  • Ensuring build quality without inflating costs

In response to the escalating housing crisis in Australia, Grove partnered with The Salvation Army to develop a purpose-built, scalable modular housing solution designed specifically for affordable housing programs.

Leveraging Grove’s deep expertise in modular construction, the collaboration produced five prototype product variations, all capable of being delivered and installed within four weeks of order. These two-, and three-bedroom turnkey homes are suited to both build-to-rent and land lease models, offering a timely, high-quality response to urgent housing needs.

The Solution
Grove’s approach balances speed, affordability, and quality—delivering modular dwellings that are not only cost-effective but also energy-efficient and built to last.

Each prototype was designed with community and operational requirements in mind, ensuring flexibility across different housing schemes and tenant needs. From rapid deployment to thoughtful spatial planning, every element was engineered for maximum impact and efficiency.

This initiative illustrates the powerful role modular construction can play in tackling Australia’s most pressing housing challenges.

We are deeply committed to creating solutions that not only meet the needs of your community but also provide efficient, cost-effective housing options with the highest standards of quality.
