Key Challenges
  • Custom internal layout for non-classroom use
  • Tight site parameters required tailored stair access
  • Fast-tracked delivery to meet strict deadline

Working with key stakeholders at one of Australia’s most prestigious coeducational schools, Grove delivered a custom double-storey building to accommodate the growing needs of the school’s faculty. Unlike typical double-storey modular buildings designed for classroom use, this project was a dedicated staff facility — requiring a complete reimagining of the internal design to suit a professional, administrative purpose.

Grove’s in-house design team collaborated closely with the client to develop a tailored layout featuring private offices, an open-plan workspace, a kitchen, and a staff lounge. The final result provides workspace for an additional 50 staff members, significantly enhancing the school’s operational capacity.

The building’s exterior design reflects Haileybury’s brand, incorporating a bold magenta and black colour scheme for a visually striking finish. Additionally, a custom-built staircase was seamlessly integrated into the design to complement the surrounding structures within a confined site area.

It was an immense effort by all involved to get this over the line by the promised deadline. The client was amazed by how quickly we mobilised on site and progressed once the building had been installed.”
