Initially, the plan was to build a single modular building on-site; however, upon further examination of the existing infrastructure, it became clear that the site presented a challenge — a large wall ran through the middle of the school, dividing it into two distinct learning spaces. Taking a creative approach, Grove’s team decided it was best to construct two separate but interconnected buildings. This design not only addressed the spatial constraints but also improved traffic flow through the school, enhancing overall functionality. Additionally, Grove incorporated an integrated courtyard and amphitheatre, providing a vibrant and practical outdoor learning environment. The entire project was completed in just over 8 weeks — 4 weeks for the build in the factory and another 4 weeks for on-site installation and finishing. Grove’s ability to adapt to the site and deliver the project on time highlights the flexibility and speed of modular construction in the educational sector. The solution Grove provided exceeded our expectations. The two connected buildings, alongside the outdoor learning spaces, have transformed our school’s environment and have fostered greater collaboration among students and staff.
